Pumpkin Drop | October 30

We are thrilled for the normalcy felt across our community when Wadsworth announced Trick-or-Treating was still happening this year. We also understand that many families with immune compromised individuals are in a tough spot. We’d love to take the burden from you! On Friday, October 30th we are delivering happiness in the form of candy and toys. This season has been hard enough—broken traditions don’t have to be. We’ve got a team dressed in costumes ready to (touch free) deliver to your door on Friday October 30th. What’s the catch? Happiness. The world could use more of it and we’ve got plenty to share. If you are able to participate in Trick-or-Treat, by all means get out there and have some fun. If you are unable to, we’ve got you covered. Sign up for your family’s FREE pumpkin-filled happiness (by October 23rd) below!

Pandemic Return Plan Update

We wanted to give you all an update regarding RLC moving into phase two of our return plan. We understand that many want us to move faster, while many are wanting us to move slower. In this season, take a few extra minutes to pray for the staff and leadership team as we navigate through these uncharted waters. Our heart is to continue to offer a safe and healthy environment where all are welcomed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. One of our qualified staff members would be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding our return plan.

30 Days of Prayer & Fasting | Oct 5 – Nov 4

Jesus tells His followers that some things are only accomplished through prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Our lives are changed when we do what’s necessary to get on God’s agenda and in sync with His heart, not only for us, but also for those that He has called us to love and serve. We believe that in this season, just like every other season of life, God withholds no good thing from us, His children (Psalm 84:11). We invite you to join us for 30 days of prayer and fasting to seek God and His will. Provided below is a daily focus and prayer prompt, if you would like to use them. Let each prompt, reading and suggested song be a springboard for God to speak to you and for you to intercede for yourself, your family, our church, and nation. We anticipate God moving in each life and throughout our church body corporately during this unified time of prayer and fasting as we set our hearts and minds on Him.

Stand Sunday | November 8

This year we are partnering with churches across Ohio to help ensure that every teen in foster care has an incredible Christmas. Together with Summit County Children Services, RLC has made it our mission to make sure every foster teen feels remembered and special this holiday season. On November 8, 2020 we hope to collect enough gift cards to provide a $25 gift card to each of the 199 foster teens within Summit County! We would like to ask every family unit to consider donating 1-2 $25 gift cards to give these teens an incredible Christmas. You are welcome to get them a gift card for anything you think will be useful for them. All of the extra cards will go toward needs in other counties! We would also like to challenge every person to bring $1 to donate to Father’s Heart on Sunday, November 8th.

Spread the Gobble, our Thanksgiving project in Akron, is right around the corner and there’s no better time to start preparing than now. Our goal is to give our neighbors a Thanksgiving meal for them to prepare at home free of charge. With that said, here is the shopping list to get a head start on prepping the boxes! Here’s what each box will need:
One frozen turkey
One 5 lb. bag of potatoes
Two cans of green beans
Two cans of corn
One box of stuffing
One can of yams
One box of brownie mix
Contact Pastor Anthony at anthony@myrlc.family if you have any questions. Thanks for your help in advancing the mission of God in Akron!

Kid’s Reopening | October 4th

We are so excited to open our Kids Ministries for Spark (1st-5th grades) and Glow (4yr-Kindergarten) on Sunday, October 4th! Please make sure to register each child for the service you will be attending so we can be prepared. We will be taking every precaution necessary to provide the safest environment. Each child and each volunteer will have their temp checked before being able to enter. All school age children will be required to wear a mask as will all of our volunteers unless they are on a microphone. Any preschool age children do not have to wear a mask. Once children get to their seat they can remove their mask as long as they are at their seat and will only have to put it back on if they need to use the restroom or when they get picked up. We will have all chairs be socially distanced as well. BUT PLEASE KNOW…we are going to have FUN!!! We will have games and crafts and worship and a Bible Story that will keep kids engaged. So make sure and sign them up to join us!!!
